TUBBS, ETHEL R.; of Clarkston; went home to be with the Lord, July 12, 2011; at 97 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Glen D. Grant and the late Leroy E. Tubbs; loving mother of the late Thomas (the late Esther) Grant and James Grant. Dearest grandmother of Randy (Julie) Grant and Robert (Nancy) Grant; caring great grandmother of Richell, Tyler, Cassandra, Shannon, Randy, Emily and Zack; great great grandmother of Michael, Teagan, Audrianna and Clarissa. Mrs. Tubbs worked as a nurse for many years at the Oakland County Infirmary. She was also on the first boat of dependents that landed in Japan after the war. Funeral Service will be Friday July 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford. Burial at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy. Pastor Todd Vanaman, officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
