Lottie Mildred Arnold was born to Daniel Webster Arnold and Hannah L. Pettis in City, County, MI, USA on Tuesday, October 5, 1897.
Lottie never married.
Lottie passed away of the flu in Platte, Benzie, MI, USA on Tuesday, November 5, 1918, at the age of 21. This, of course, was during the Spanish Flu pandemic. Lottie had been under a doctor’s care since October 22.
In the newspaper after her passing:
Mr. Pettitt [sic?] and family, of Traverse City came out to attend the funeral of Lottie Arnold, also Mr. Arnold’s sister. [Daniel Webster Arnold had three sisters alive in 1918.]
Miss Lottie Arnold, who was so seriously ill last week passed away Tuesday. She was 21 years and one month of age and leaves a mother, father, two brothers and a sister to mourn their loss, also a host of friends and the neighborhood will miss the hand which so faithfully administered unto them in time of sickness or need, also the happy smile which spoke so plainly of the deeper love of the Saviour’s teaching within. The funeral was held at her home Friday at two o’clock Rev Ragan of Empire, officiating, interment being made in the Platte cemetery.

A comment on the news article: According to my records she should have had two sisters to mourn, not one. DEA
